The Centurion is a microprocessor-based embedded system that precisely manages storage climates by controlling the fans, evaporative coolers, humidification, Co2, heaters, refrigeration equipment, and fresh air intake. Even in the most unfavorable external conditions, the Centurion can maintain temperatures within 0.1°F.
Simple. Using the LCD color touch screen, users can easily view current status of equipment operation, monitor and adjust system parameters. Menu driven makes navigation from screen to screen quick and simple.
Flexible. On-site history reports can log up to 37 different data points, with adjustable increments. Trend temperature graphs and event/failure log add to the extensive record keeping.
Fail-safe. Your crop is protected by temperature alarms, equipment safeties, and power disturbances. Isolation relays guard against spikes and surges reaching the computer board. An auxiliary low limit device adds protection against product freezing.
Convenient. Centurion Remote Access Software allows you to monitor and control your system remotely as if you were at the site. Supports Direct Connect / Dial-up / Wireless / Ethernet connections with Web browser access via the Internet.

Daylight Blocker
The Daylight Block reduces potato greening during storage by decreasing visible light transmission to the storage building, that comes through exhaust and return air openings.
The Daylight Block is size and shaped to closely inter-fit within the frame, which is installed over the exhaust and return openings, preferably inside the storage building.
The Daylight Block houses special panels made of opaque, non-reflective and ultraviolet light resistant PVC containing free-flowing air permeable, multi-cell passageways.
The passageways are constructed in such an offset manner that a linear path for light does not exist, eliminating the need for exhaust hoods to control light passage.

Ozone Generators
Ozone is an aggressive oxidant which moves throughout your storage when the air system runs and attacks the organisms which haunt your stored crop. Ozone systems are available for all sizes of storage and can be leased or purchased from Ron's Refrigeration. And when you are ready to take the product out of storage and run it through your grading shed, Ron's Refrigeration can engineer refrigeration and dryer systems to make sure your crop gets to the shelf in top condition.
Ozone (O3) has a very short life span and during this time it is very reactive. The oxidation potential of ozone is 2.07. This ranks third in nature as the highest oxidant behind fluorine and hydroxyl-radicals. The higher the oxidation potential leads to more powerful the oxidizing allowing it to break down the intended compounds.
The third oxygen atom is not tied very tightly to the other two atoms in an ozone molecule. The third molecule breaks away, leaving pure oxygen (O2), and a single oxygen molecule (O1). This single molecule will combine with bacteria, fungi, spores, mold and other compounds in a process called oxidation. When this free oxygen molecule combines with the organisms it causes the cell-wall of the organism to “burn up” allowing the living material to be oxidized or destroyed. What is left behind is oxygen and carbon dioxide.
CIPC Sprout Inhibitor
Ron's Refrigeration's use of a patented low airflow method allows less CIPC to accumulate on the building structure during the application. This enables more CIPC to reach the product enhancing its performance.
Aerosol Sprout Inhibiting
CIPC (Chlorpropham) applied in aerosol form is the standard in the potato industry for inhibiting sprouts. Since the 1950s CIPC has been unmatched for inhibiting sprouts because of its effectiveness and affordability in the market place. Ron's Refrigeration's has been instrumental in the improvement of the application process resulting in an enhanced performance of CIPC to inhibit sprouts on potatoes.
The use of a patented low airflow method allows less CIPC to accumulate on the building structure during the application. This enables more CIPC to reach the product enhancing its performance.
Also, the use of the patented CMF (Carbon Monoxide Free) Sprout Inhibiting System eliminates harmful by-products, reduces heat and fire risks, and allows more CIPC to remain on the potatoes to prolong storage.
